gennaiMemory: 007, "So if I'm defeated you might disappear."

Day: 144, Nyssa
This is another memory that starts with a flurry of leaves and trees. One second you're in the air, then in the forest, and back again. You're on the back of a giant mechanical frog, dressed for a fight... And Takumi's with you. There's the distinct thought of you need to get far away. Not fight, exactly, you can't with Takumi there. But the two of you need to get out of here.
Except...
"Damn," you ground out angrily, "we were just here a minute ago!"
"---" Takumi interrupts, "What's going on?"
You groan slightly, not really wanting to get into this just yet. You need to get out of here, not talk about things that are happening with HiMEs.
"That was Nao before, right? What's this about sis hurting her?"
Your face is hard, but you turn, trying to gentle your voice some, "...Takumi."
"I want to know. "His answer is simple and with no room for debate. For Takumi, he looks surprisingly serious about this. He takes a moment, he's known something was going on, and continues, "No, it's something I need to know. Isn't that right?"
He turns to you all seriousness and need reflecting in his eyes. And you know even if Mai hadn't gotten him into this by attacking Nao, you would have. It's conflicting, but he deserves to know, too.
"All right, then," you respond turning away slightly, "Your sister's a HiME. The same as me."
"Huh?"
"She's desperately trying to stop the HiME from fighting each other. Because when a HiME is defeated... the person she cares about the most disappears. So..."
This is where you hesitate, face coloring as you try to figure out what to say. It's the truth he deserves, but an uncertain admission.
"So... if I were to be defeated... you might disappear."
Takumi gasps in surprise, but you don't hear him. For that moment you're so filled with anger and disappear you're just...
"Damn it! Why am I so weak? I'm not manly at all. The only thing I am... is kind..." you finish weakly, turning to him, "just kind."
Takumi still stares, surprised not only by what you said previously but just now as well. You, after all, are always calm and collected. You'd rarely ever shown him anything else, but right now you're in the face of losing him. And there's nothing you can really do about it, right?
But he smiles that smile of his to try and worry it all away.
"It's all right. If I'm with you, Akira..." he says in kind, uncertainty washing over you more-- because how can he always be like this. "It only makes sense. You're the one who made me want to live in the first place."
"You stupid fool," you mutter trying not to cry before you two hug.
What it means:
