Memory: 005 "Don't be a wuss. Real men don't cook."
Type: TrivNeu
Day: 140, Nyssa
This is the day everything finally came into play and you wouldn't even know it. It started with some freak accident: something akin to an explosion coming from the ocean and destroying everything in its path. It only stopped in the school courtyard, where two girls would be found unconscious.
It was weird, but no one was hurt. And it didn't concern you.
So you left alone.
But then a teacher calls you to the staff room and a little begrudgingly you go. There you're immediately told you'll have a new roommate, a boy by the name of Tokiha Takumi. There's a welling of panic inside you, but you don't let the teachers see it before heading off to class.
When he shows up to class with that smile and bright eyes you pay him little to no mind-- only boredom and annoyance. And neither are quite wrong.
After classes you show him to your shared dorm. He seems to be excited to have a roommate, but you don't really pay him any mind. You eye your belongings carefully. There's nothing that would give you away, is there? You didn't think so, but you had to be more careful. He couldn't find out.
...Not for the first time in your life you wish you weren't born a girl.
Ignoring your self-loathing you turn to him. Without any hesitance you give him your ground rules: You were putting a sheet up to create a barrier across the room. He was to knock anytime he came to a place you were at. Thankfully, he accepted it without question and you moved on.
But he still tried hard to get you to do things with him-- roommate things. You distances yourself more, sure he'd find out or had some idea. So you lifted weights, read calmly, and sometimes drew. If you were doing things maybe he wouldn't bother you. You were wrong there, too, since at one point he asks if you'd like to cook. Real men don't cook, you shoot back. Surely, he figure it out, right?
But it didn't seem he had and this was how the first few weeks with Takumi went. He was gentle and kind and you didn't know what to make of him. He kind of... counteracted every bit of masculinity you had forced yourself to believe in. Or more so that you force yourself to do, all to keep the vow to your father.
What it means:
+Knowing how she met Takumi
+Confirmation that she's hiding her gender
-50 on self-worth and why she was born a girl
+10 fuck she actually likes that he's gentle and kind :(
